The King

Gather gather, everyone around,
And I do not want to hear a single sound,
Today’s the day we meet the king,
Bring your diamonds, your gold, you rings

Present him with all your goods,
Rest assured you will get food,
Today’s the day the prince meets his bride,
Hurry and hop on your ride,
Past the trees and past the lakes,
Hurry up and don’t be late,
Now I have to make sure no ones meddling,
Please do tell me when it’s time for the wedding…

Hours went by,
And there was not a single fly,
At all in the wedding hall,
Then a boy shouted: “ we have been betrayed,
As it was late!!!

  Nina, Milli and Ajeet got ready as quickly as possible to get to the bridge first, but as soon as they reached the bridge there was already a huge line of kids. They were  all talking and playing games together while waiting for their turn. Ajeet and the girls joined. The bridge had been there for a long time. The bridge was old and broken, it had a few broken planks here and there and the children were worried that if they were standing on breaks they would fall in the river.
