Diwali Poem

Hello everyone! Wish you a very Happy Diwali!

Diwali is such a nice holiday,
Lots of beautiful candles we lay,
Put it here and put it there,
Do try not to burn your hair,
Handle them with lots of care,
It is very hot, to be fair!

Colourful rangoli, I can see,
I make them with lots of glee,
Takes a lot of skill to keep within the line,
But if it gets ruined it’s totally fine, 
We just do it for some fun,
And I never want to be done!

The sweets are just so sweet,
No one regrets to eat,
Peda and ladoo in my belly,
Boy, they are better than any jelly,
There are so many kinds, 
I can’t even count,
In our house right now,
We have a BIG mound!

Boom! Boom! Boom! 
The firecrackers go so high,
Lots of pollution in the sky,
But its ok once in a while,
Because it goes uppppp a mile!

Wear a ghagra, kurta or shawl,
Don’t just wear an overall,
Wear a sari wear a blouse,
Then Lakshmi and Ganesha,
Will stay at your house!

  Nina, Milli and Ajeet got ready as quickly as possible to get to the bridge first, but as soon as they reached the bridge there was already a huge line of kids. They were  all talking and playing games together while waiting for their turn. Ajeet and the girls joined. The bridge had been there for a long time. The bridge was old and broken, it had a few broken planks here and there and the children were worried that if they were standing on breaks they would fall in the river. So they went one by one and slowly jumped over the broken planks. one Sunday night a storm arrived and it rained very much. The rain went Pitter Patter on the floor. Hey! My name is Katie Smith and I am 14 years old. I live with my two brothers (James and Daniel), a mother, a father and aunt Lucinda. Now I am about to tell you about the craziest week in my entire life. What Is That?!
